We’re excited to unveil the Resurgence Update, delivering a massive wave of power and performance! This release introduces game-changing, Bank Liquidator, ES5 Perks and new Elite Slayer Additions to push your progression to the next level. The experience has been overhauled with a total Bank Interface Revamp and significant Client Enhancements for a faster, modern feel. We’ve also rolled out essential ToB & ToA Fixes and more to ensure your raids are smoother than ever. Packed with quality-of-life upgrades, this update continues to sharpen the Simplicity experience for both new and veteran players.

 

BANK LIQUIDATOR

One of the standout quality-of-life improvements is the introduction of the Bank Liquidator, now seamlessly integrated within the player’s bank on the bottom left corner. This feature allows players to conveniently drag and drop items directly into the Liquidator and instantly convert them into in-game gold.This has been a highly requested addition for a long time, and we’re excited to finally bring this powerful and convenient tool to the Simplicity community!

 

Please note that an 8% tax is applied to all liquidation transactions.

NEX OVERHAUL

Nex has been completely overhauled to restore the full suite of OSRS-authentic boss mechanics that were previously missing from the encounter. Every phase now has its signature abilities, and the Zaros final phase finally plays out the way it's supposed to. This is a huge change — Nex is now a real fight that rewards prayer discipline, positioning, and awareness of each phase's unique mechanics!

- Ice Barrage freeze (9s) + prayer drain (damage/2), suppressed under PfM

 

 ZAROS FINAL PHASE 
- Heal-on-entry
- Wrath recoil (25% incoming back to attacker)
- Soulsplit lifesteal (25% outgoing heals Nex)
- Prayer alternates every 4 attacks
- Dropped broken transform calls (were passing item IDs to NPC transform)

 

NIGHTMARE OVERHAUL

We've reworked how Nightmare's basic attacks interact with protection prayers to bring the fight closer to its OSRS-authentic behaviour and more! Protection prayers now genuinely matter during the encounter, rewarding attentive prayer swaps and punishing sloppy play.

 

 

Here's how Nightmare's attacks now respond to your prayer choice:

Correct protection prayer — Fully blocks the hit for 0 damage
Wrong protection prayer — Punishes you with a 1.2x damage multiplier on the incoming hit
No protection prayer — Leaves you exposed to the full damage roll

 

Damage caps have been tuned to Simplicity's scaling:

Melee — Up to 500 damage (600 when wrong-praying)
Ranged — Up to 330 damage (396 when wrong-praying)
Magic — Up to 330 damage (396 when wrong-praying)

 

Pay close attention to Nightmare's attack animations and swap prayers accordingly > lazy praying will now cost you real HP.

We'll be monitoring feedback closely and making tuning adjustments in future patches if needed!

 

Nightmare Parasite Burst & Sanfew Serum Counter-Play

The parasite phase of the Nightmare encounter has been expanded with proper burst damage and a new counter-play mechanic! When parasites burst out of infected players, they now deal real damage that bypasses protection prayers (just like in OSRS) so you can't simply pray through this mechanic anymore.

 

Unmitigated burst — Deals up to 160 damage, bypassing all prayer

Sanfew Serum (drunk pre-burst) — Weakens the parasite, reducing the burst to a maximum of 60 damage

 

Keep a Sanfew Serum ready during the fight and drink it before the parasite bursts to drastically soften the hit.

Timing is everything — drink too late and you'll eat the full damage roll!

 

Nightmare OSRS-Authentic Claw Cone Attack

The Nightmare's default melee attack has been completely reworked into a proper telegraphed cone swipe, matching OSRS behaviour! Her claw attack now actually rewards awareness and positioning instead of just being a "you're in range, you take a hit" mechanic. When she winds up her swing, her facing direction is locked in at the cast tick and damage resolves 2 ticks later — giving attentive players a real reaction window to either flick prayer or physically step out of the danger zone.

 

Here's how the new claw attack behaves:

Telegraphed windup — Slash animation plays on the cast tick, damage resolves 2 ticks later

Cone hit zone — Covers Nightmare's full 5x5 footprint plus a 2-tile cone in her facing direction

Positioning matters — Step behind or to her side after the wind-up and you'll dodge entirely

Facing is locked at cast tick — Repositioning after she swings can save your HP

 

CORPOREAL BEAST OVERHAUL

The Corporeal Beast encounter has been massively reworked to bring it in line with authentic OSRS mechanics! From the iconic Dark Energy Core mechanic to properly-behaving stomp attacks and the dreaded split projectile, this fight now demands real awareness, positioning, and team coordination
 

Dark Energy Core Mechanic (NEW!)

The signature mechanic of the Corporeal Beast fight is finally here. When Corp drops to 50% HP or lower,

there's a chance for a Dark Energy Core to spawn and start draining the team to heal Corp:

- Spawns at or below 50% HP with a roll chance per attack

- Launches toward a target player with a telegraphed jump animation

- Drains 5–13 HP every 2 ticks from any player in its 3x3 AoE

- Heals Corp by the exact amount drained from players

- Hops to the nearest player if nobody is adjacent to it

- Despawns cleanly when Corp dies

 

 

Following up on the Dark Energy Core Mechanic!

We've refined how the core moves and behaves to make the mechanic feel smooth and OSRS-authentic:

Proper jump animation — The core now smoothly slides between tiles with its launch animation instead of snap-teleporting, matching the iconic OSRS visual

Sticky targeting — Once the core locks onto a player, it sticks with them instead of jittering between targets every tick

Multi-hop traversal — Long distances are covered through a chain of hops (max 3 tiles per jump) rather than one huge fling

Spawns outside Corp's footprint — The core now materialises on the edge of Corp's 5x5 footprint nearest the target, so you can clearly see it launch toward you

Correct projectile IDs — Split attack now uses the correct OSRS projectile (hooked skull) & spiky balls

Cleaner death handling — Fixed an edge case where a duplicate core could spawn during the original core's death animation

 

Stomp Attack — Proper Replacement Behaviour

The stomp attack now behaves like it does in OSRS:

If any player is adjacent to Corp, the stomp replaces the normal attack (not an extra hit alongside it)

The stomp animation is no longer overwritten by the melee swing on the same tick

The stomp now correctly fires for any player within 1 tile of Corp's full 5x5 footprint (previously only triggered from her SW corner)

Standing next to Corp is now meaningfully different from staying at range

 

Split Projectile Attack — Reworked

The magic "translucent ball" attack has been rebuilt to match OSRS behaviour:

Primary projectile fires at the target with a visible flight path

Impact position is snapshotted — if the player moves after the cast, the splits still land at the original impact tile

6 split projectiles fan out hexagonally from the impact point (3 tiles in each direction)

AoE blast zone uses Chebyshev distance ≤ 3, matching the outer reach of the splits with no coverage gaps

 

Stat Draining Attack — Fixed

The stat drain attack now correctly:

Only drains combat stats (Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged, Magic) — no more draining random non-combat skills

Drains 1–5 levels per hit

Floors at level 1 (no more going to 0)

ALCHEMICAL HYDRA

Two fixes for Alchemical Hydra that make the fight behave properly and stop leaking resources in the background have been pushed to make the overall experience more smooth and correct based on OSRS mechanics:
 

Tightened follow behaviour during combat:

Due to Hydra's size-6 footprint, she was halting as soon as the player stepped anywhere within her 6-tile attack distance, which made vent-luring cheese a lot easier than it should be. She now keeps pathing toward the player every tick and only stops when she's truly adjacent — no more abusing her attack range to kite her cheaply.

 

Fixed GameObject leak on vent cycles

Every plume cycle was re-registering the vent objects without cleaning up the old ones, slowly leaking GameObjects in the background. This has been resolved so the fight runs cleaner over long sessions

 

 

Players cheesing Hydra with vent-luring tactics will need to adapt — she's more persistent now, exactly like OSRS intended!

 

LOGIN RESOLVEMENT

We've squashed one of the most annoying login issues that's been generating staff tickets! If you've ever been hit with the dreaded "Your account is already logged in, try again in 60 seconds" message and had to wait around for a staff member to kick you — that's a thing of the past.

 

WHAT WAS HAPPENING?

When a player disconnected (combat logout delay, bad connection, client crash), their Player object could linger in the world for up to ~10 seconds or longer if the logout queue was backed up. During that window, every reconnect attempt was bouncing back with the "already online" error even though the original session was effectively dead.

 

 

WHAT WE FIXED

The login code now intelligently checks whether the existing session is actually alive

Dead connection detected:  (socket closed / channel inactive) → The game automatically runs the same cleanup that ::kick uses, queues the logout, and tells the client to retry in 2 seconds. The retry then succeeds cleanly

Genuinely active session:  (real concurrent login attempt) → Still rejects normally, so no security regression — your account can't be hijacked while you're actively playing

 

THE RESULTS

Stuck accounts now auto-unstick themselves on the very next login attempt. No more 60-second waits, no more staff tickets, no more logging into Discord begging for a kick. Just log back in and you're good to go!

 

OPEN-ALL OPTIONS

We have added an “Open All” option to the Crystal Chest, Raids Chest, and Infernal Chest.

This update is designed to save players time and eliminate the need for repetitive clicking when opening multiple chests.

 

 

We've also added a big list of variant Open-All option on the Elite Slayer related Caskets full collection.

DONATION ORB REVAMP

This highly requested feature is now officially live. Starting today, whenever the Donation Orb is activated, it will grant Double Damage for 60 minutes. In addition, Elite Slayer XP will be boosted by 1.2x for the same duration. While the Donation Orb is active, all players worldwide will receive a distinct yellow aura animation around their character, clearly indicating that the global bonus is in effect. The Donation Orb activates once a total of $1,000 in ::store donations has been reached and all contributions have been successfully claimed in-game using ::claim.

 

 

When the Donation Orb is active, all players worldwide will be surrounded by a yellow aura for the duration of one hour.

 

AUDIO & SOUND SETTINGS

After weeks of development, we're excited to roll out the first phase of our Audio System! Players can now toggle sounds and music on/off directly from their Audio Settings. We know this has been a long time coming, and we appreciate your patience! This is a significant system and we want to get it right. A few known issues are still being ironed out, including volume percentage control, which will be addressed in an upcoming future patch.

 

 

More audio improvements are on the way. Stay tuned!

 

CLIENT ENHANCEMENTS

Right-click tile interaction has been fully reworked to match OSRS 1:1. This is a significant client enhancement that improves navigation through Boss combat mechanics, AFK portals, and other game content. A long-awaited fix, now officially deployed.

 

 

ELITE SLAYER V ADDITIONS
The Lil' Drakeling pet is now obtainable as a drop from Elite Slayer 5 mobs in the Astral Gardens (::e5) and Ancient City (::ac). Previously exclusive to the Crystal Multi Boss in the Elite Slayer 3 Crystal Dungeon, this pet is now obtainable across both public ES5 cities — a meaningful reward for players who have reached Elite Slayer level 90.

 

 

Additionally, Infinity Drop rates in the ES5 cities have been increased. Players now have a 5% chance to receive an Infinity drop in the Astral Gardens and Ancient City.

 

ELITE SLAYER SACRIFICE ADDITIONS

We've added a new list of variant Items that Players with level 90+ Elite Slayer can Sacrifice at the Immortal Slayer Master

NEW ELITE SLAYER V PERKS

New Astral Spawns Perk has been added to allow the player up to a maximum of 4 spawns in the Superior Elite Slayer Instance. We've also added a brand new Perk named "Astral Block" that allows players to block up to 3 total tasks. Down below a detailed summary:
